First off, do you have an airbag? If so, it will be a lot more complicated and not legal.
*DISCLAIMER* It is illegal and unsafe to remove the airbag system as per federal regulations, unless the car is intended for track use only. Also, disconnect the battery BEFORE starting the job and if you aren't mechanically inclined... Do not attempt.
That being said... if no airbag: remove the 4 screws that hold the steering column trim together. Located on the underside of the trims pieces. Then, look/feel around for screws on the back of the steering wheel itself that holds the face plate onto the wheel. Remove face plate and locate the center nut holding the wheel onto the column spline. Should be a big nut... something like 19mm if memory serves. Remove nut and give the wheel a solid tug... will be pressed on with a bit of force.
If airbag: Same thing as above with the careful exception of removing the airbag assembly within the face plate. It requires a special set of 3/8 bits known as a security/tamper proof bit set. Also, with the installation of a new wheel... it will disable the horn and turn signal return function. When you go around a corner, the turn signal will not automatically click back off. Easy fix to both of those... horns can pass safety inspections with a different horn button mounted within reach of the driver. Turn signal can be manually clicked off... just have to remember to do so
Hope that helps! Which Momo wheel did you go with?
