Ive had my RB25 for a while, but I just got my S13 body and have been working on it ever since. Ive never done anything like this before, so Ill probably have a lot of noob questions. Heres the first lol. I disconnected everything from the engine, pulled the shifter and the ecu and am going to drop the exhaust whenever it stops raining here. This is a wiring question though. I know that Im going to need the lower harness, and as far as I know that would be the harness going around the whole engine bay into the dash and the 2 fuse boxes (correct me if Im wrong..). My question is, do I actually have to remove this harness or can I just leave it where it is? Also, the ECU has wires going out in both directions. Im assuming one goes through the firewall, but where does the other side go that goes up into the dash? (Sorry, I dont have a wiring guide for this car) Thanks in advace

The wiring on our nissan is simple so to speak. The engine harness goes to all the sensors on the motor and then over to the passagner fire wall and into the ECU. On it's way to the ECU there is a plug that goes to the dash harness. This plug is for the gauge cluster, AC wires, and ing power. The nice thing about this swap is you simply take the KA engine harness out and put the RB harness in. Now the dash plug won't match up since the RB's is different but the wires you need are there and it's a mater of matching them up. You will have about 10 (it's been almost 1 year since I have done the swap) wires if you are going to get all your gauges working. There is also a lower engine harness that goes to the starter/alt/transmission. I used the RB harness and made adpater plugs out the the RB body harness and KA lower harness so it's a plug + play. You don't need to remove any fuse boxes. The lower harness plugs into the one next to the battery.
