Hey All! i just bought a black on black 2.5 SL and ive been hearing alot about the CVT having serious issues anyone here have any problems? Reason i ask is ( and this might be me being a noob to Nissan) but my car will not coast down hills ..the RPM`s jump up to 3 thousand unless i give the gas pedal a quick tap..its odd to me and if i brake harder than normal right when i let off at the end one and awhile the car jumps, shudders or what have you.. is this normal? Thanks all!

Yes, the cars have a sensor the detects you are going downhill and adjusts the ratio to allow engine braking. The transmission issues some have are not related to what you describe.

The shutter is less normal, not something I've had happen with my 3.5, but also doesn't sound like the typical issues I've read about.
