My Z stalls at very high rpms. Its happened 3 times so far and all those times were when id get the rpms to 5k and then let off the gas. And when it happens the battery light comes on and then 2 seconds later the car stalls.

Im ordering spark plugs, fuel filter, new pop charger and gonna clean my TBs.
The injectors were replaced by previous owner before me buying the car. You think this is a sign of a dying alternator? Thanks

That would cause the car to stall while driving at 5k? My pop charger is not that low. My front fascia covers it.

Ah gotcha... I still think I would try the flower pot mod before you start replacing parts man. It wouldn't be the first Z to have problems only at high RPM.

Maybe someone else will have some more suggestions.

Good Luck!

Why new POP, is it messed up? If not, just clean it.

Clean your MAF too, ask for CRC MAF Cleaner at Advance or Autozone.

I would do that stuff, and if you're still having the issue let's meet up and check things on Datascan. I'm pretty short on time right now, but the first weekend in June is relatively open.

Hey T. Pop charger, spark plugs and fuel filter are same that came with the car when i bought it so i thought it would be a good idea to replace them even though ive only put 4k miles on her since i bought her.

Today im supposed to meet Petadakilla from 3zclub at Prime speed tuning in danvers. Im not sure if ill be able to make it yet but if i do ill have them check the Z. But ill try cleaning the MAF and ill let you know. Thanks

Pop charger is cleanable though. You clean it with soap and water, let it dry, then oil it with K&N oil or some other filter oil. Not too much though.

Peter is good with these cars too. Def change the fuel filter and the plugs. OEM parts only IMHO, IME. A very light coating is all you need on the POP charger. And let it dry for a good 15-20 minutes in the sun before you reinstal it.

Nope cuz the car runs fine. Its only happened those 3 times and when i get it to 5k+ and let off the gas.

One more question....the other day while waiting at a red light, i felt and heard a clicking noise coming from front driver side caliper. I got home got the car on jackstands and had my bro step on the breaks and i could feel the clicking noise coming from that caliper. The clicking will continue as long as you keep pressing the brakes. What could cause this?
