Hi i bought a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4.0L. I just have a quick question. Is it normal when your driving around 40mph w/ overdrive on and when you release the gas pedal and press it again a clunk sounds comes from the back and you can feel it too. It only happens around 40-45 mph. When i'm on the freeway it doesn't do it. If I turn off the over drive and release the gas and press agaoin around 40mph it doenst do it. I was wondering if this is normal or should i bring it in. Please help me...

Thanks

Sounds like something may be out of whack. I would get it in to a shop and see if something is loose or excessively worn. Welcome to NICO!

I would check the radiator and the over flow tank for transmission fluid.

90% likely it's a bad U-joint.

Hey guys thanks for the input but I did more research and most pathfinders does it. Its somthing to do with the ecm programming and it needs to be reprogrammed. Nissan knows about it since they put up a technical service bouletin on it.
