ok so when your engine is throwing a code, and you go to fix the problem

if it is fixed, then what are the sequence of events that trigger the light to go off, do you have to reset the ecu and drive it once? 4 times? (i heard that after fixing a problem the engine needs to be on and off 4 times before the ecu recognizes the changes)

or will it recognize it on its own?

hahaha well i couldnt even use that tool if i wanted too since its a sohc to dohc swap and i think its not wired into the new harness lololol and ima switch the ecu out and see if this ecu is mine (when swapping stuff there was 3 ecus at my disposal and i think this one is one the fritz) too see if its still throwing my code, if im still throwing the codes then im going to test and test and test and keep reseting the ecu and seeing if it comes back
