im gonna refrain from saying look around at a few threads before posting. the CA18DE and CA18DET were the only engines available from 88-90 180sx's and silvias in japan. they were the only engines available in any S13 (excluding grey market) in europe, 88-94. the ca18de(t) was also available in FWD and AWD versions in the bluebird in japan. the ca18de was available in america in FWD orientation in 88-90 pulsar NX's. the ca18et (sohc, non-intercooled, no dfi, etc etc) was available in the 80's in the S12 (200sx).the engine puts out 175hp from the factory with a 7600rpm redline. it has a T25 turbo which is slightly smaller then the redtop sr's. it is intercooled from the factory with a small side mount that is located where the resonator box is on the american models (infront of the driverside front wheel).so to answer your question, yes... its another kinda silvia engine.

And the you change the T25 to the better Mitsubishi TD04HL 15Tand you can rocknroll all nite. It is a good start if you aim for som 300+ Hps.

A front mounted IC is also a must, the original is just a joke.
