hey nico.I'm putting an s13 sr20det in my s14 240sx...and my question is, I've been looking at the power steering pump on my SR, and it's are completely different then the one on the KA24... do I need to get a pump off an s14 sr20det? Because the KA only has 2 lines going into the pump, where the s13 SR has 3. Any help would be awesome. Or even a site that would give me the info would be greatly appreciated

A regular 240sx pump fits just fine with the sr. the pump you have with 3 lines was for a hicas vehicle.

Well, I just hooked up an S14 PS pump to an S13 car, so there wasn't much difference but it worked just had to swap brackets. I don't think should make a big difference I don't think Nissan made like 4-5 different pumps for the different engines, just bracketry~ If high pressure line is an issue, SS lines with AN solves it.

probably a stupid question :picard: , but what does "hicas" mean? also.. pick n steal doesnt seem to have much along the lines of dohc engines to rob pumps and brackets from... i guess i could go lifetime warrantee stuff from autozone if i could get non conflicting advise on EXACTLY what to purchase, and how to do it... it just seems that many diffrent factors you would have to go diffrent ways... i have a blacktop sr20det.. i just need PS again .... :wtf2:

As long as you have the power starting bracket, use a 91-94 pump and lines (stock 240 stuff). Autozone lines won't work BECAUSE THEY DON'T COME WITH THE HARD LINES THAT GO TO THE RACK. for info on hicas, search..... But basically its for all wheel stearing and the pump has an extra line that you don't need.
