I've had my 1990 300z NA for about 3 years now, i have a problem with the driver seat. The switch on the the eight direction electronic controller has shorted out on one direction (backwards). Now i can get the seat back into the correct position for me to drive it period. I am just wondering if there is a manual releas to the seat to move it backwards or am i just going to have to face facts and just pay the money to have the switch replaced. I know for sure its not the motor on the seat because when i can get it to catch correctly it moves just fine. and will go in every other direction, including forward.

So if anyone knows of a way to manually override the electronic seat i would much apprieciate any advice that you could give me. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to NICO! I do not know of any way to manually move the seat, you might just have to buy a new switch.

The only way to manually move the seat is to remove the motor off of the gear track and move it to the position you want it in. Other than that there is no way to manually move the seat.
