ive searched but im thinking of getting outta the 240 and into the z. what is the stock vg30dett motor good to hp wise before you hafta to start building it

500-550 hp on stock internals.

they are pretty stout, I've heard 500-600 whp on stock internals! but if you're gunning for those levels you might as well build the bottom end while you have your wallet open

Both the stock motor and autotranny will give you 500whp without much problem.
