quick question

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

Anybody seen a 350 small block conversion in a 240sx? I've seen one done in an 89 rx-7 in a few hours but never a 240. I would think engine clearance would be a factor in both cars but maybe not.

One of our Mods has one, atleast he used to be a Mod, look for threads by Aries. He had a 350 LT1 in his S14. It was pretty quick I guess, although he wouldn't race me cause he was scared...but who can blame him.

The best thing about the 240 is the suspension and weight. Combine that with V8 torque, like the LS1 since it's also light weight and you have a winning combo.

I put a LT1 in mine and it weighs 2729 with me and half a tank of fuel with 52% of the weight op front I still turns very well and you have the option to use the throttle to turn it

There isnt any thing quite like lighting the tires up at 70 mph .\

Stan my good friend, do give me some details. I've been searching the 3rd Gen cars for the last few days and have found several nice donors.

i have one.

92 coupe with a ...carburated 350sbc iron block. and th-350 auto. its nasty.

i cut the trans hump out to sit the motor better. the dist is right at the firewall. custom made oil pan and motor mount (welded to frame rails, not to crossmember) it works just fine. just finishing a lot of details and then doing an efi conversion and single turbo. then lots of bald tires.
