I went to infinitiparts.com and ordered the active suspension conversion kit with the tokico blues. On a whim I also placed an order for the Stillen Hi-Flow intake system. Some time after that I read where the stock intake is actually better than the Stillen. Is that correct?

:help I still time to cancel the order for the Stillen so please answer quickly. :help

Thank you in advance

Wes, try a search on intake. A Pop Charger sucking hot under hood air is a performance destroyer, not an enhancer.

Did you mean http://www.infintipartsusa.com ? Joe usually has the best deals.

Wes, that is true about the hot air under the hood.

I have chosen to keep mine on my car, becausie I love the sound.

I have to be careful, to keep the MAF sensor clean, and not to over-oil the filter.

If you decide to add it later, you can find them cheap, from other owners that decide to take theirs off.

I had this question earlier too---I still have a pop charger off a destroyed max---but it has a heat shield on it---i was told though the heat shield doesn't really help with keeping air cool---might as well get a cool air intake...is that true jeff?

That is true, the heat shield does little. Actually, wrapping the plastic pipe with insulation would help more than anything.

A true Cold Air Intake, would leave you susseptible to water injection, which is Really BAD!. I had this on my Nissan Pick-up. I was nervous, every time it rained.

Many studies have shown, that the starndard air box is very efficient, and not the larges pressure drop in the intake. I think it was Q45Tech, who did some research.

I have done no studies, just seat-of-the-pants trial and error. I like the sound, and am careful to keep the filter clean, and stay away from truely dusty areas. The K&N filter does allow larger particles into the engine. How do you think they get more airflow?

BUy yourself a Mustang "Shaker" intake scoop kit, and modify it for the Q. That would be cool!
