Hey guys, I was just wondering why the Cusco Shifter bushing has slits in it? I just installed mine, and it seems to droop, so are the slits meant for tightening it by grabbing pliers and sqeezing them on the shifter linkage?

Here's a picture of what i'm talking about

Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

No, leave it like that. Slits are there, so it will go on to the shifter. Once the shifter goes in, it won't droop. BTW, that's my picture. It rattled too much, so I had to get an OEM plastic one. It's much better now.

Ahh Ok thanks a lot. What if we are supposed to tighten it? Think about it, if it's tight on the linkage, it won't rattle as much? Drooping is solved from the shifter going in, and the rattle is solved by tightening the slits?
