Hey when it came to nissan engine names I pretty much figured majority of the engine codes out by myself KA24DE KA series, 2.4l,.... my question is what does the DE stand for and is there a difference between an engine that has just E and one that has DE or is that just a bunch of typos

D = dual overhead camE = EFI

and yes, there is a difference between a DE and an E. 89 and 90 240sx's have the E, which is EFI with a single cam, and the 91-98 240sx have the DE, which gives them an extra cam and another 15hp.
