quick question on emissions removal

WHats up everyone? I finally got my engine back from TOP HAT Performance. I cleaned the intake mani and took off the egr stuff. My question is. There's a connector that hooks up right beside the last fuel injector and the other end to the egr stuff. whats it for and do I need it? Hopefully I'll be boosting this summer. :

Sounds like the EGR temp sensor, which you don't need if you yank out the EGR system.
