Quick question on doing JDM swap

I'm getting ready to install a JDM SR20 into my G20, and I don't want to install all of the EGR crap. I'm planning on using the JDM intake and exhaust manifold. Is it correct that if I connect the EGR and Canister Control Solenoid Valve to the sensors(but not the vacuum lines), that the car will not throw a CEL? The 93 G20 is OBDI, if you don't hook it back up, it won't throw any codes. The swap is as straight forward as it gets. YOu are going from highport motor to highport motor. I also have a JDM exhaust manifold that has a bung welded in for the o2 sensor. $20 its yours.
