I'm getting ready to install a JDM SR20 into my G20, and I don't want to install all of the EGR crap. I'm planning on using the JDM intake and exhaust manifold. Is it correct that if I connect the EGR and Canister Control Solenoid Valve to the sensors(but not the vacuum lines), that the car will not throw a CEL? Below is a quote from a thread I found while doing research on this.
Quote »EGR and Canister Control Solenoid Valves. There are only 2 of these things. They look like funky boost controller devices. (to me). They are about 1-2inches big. An have a sensor that plugs into it, as well as 3 hose outlets on each one. You only need to hook up the sensors. Then just Zip tie them to something so they dont' dangle around. I think they bolt or clip back on something.. but I dont' know or remember so I just Zip tied mine to some bigger hoses. Haven't had a problem yet. [/quote]
