quick question j30 owners

as you know again that I recently got my 30 back and all and my mechanic was like hey you have a hole in your muffler. Im like yeah I figured that. (car sat for a while, plus previously owner took care of it but few lil things here and there). So I just went onto Autozone.com and started pricing mufflers and notice a huge price drop from what I was thinking it was going to cost. Now I know that I couldve just taken it up to midas or what not and got it done, but I see that I would've been spending an arm and leg to get it fix.

So question to yall....

Has anyone seen a huge difference in prices when they look up things on their on rather than an autoplace telling you a price with their huge mark ups? Also, give your expiriences.

Your question is really hard to understand ,But keep in mind the welding on of said Muffler is a good percentage of the cost.Also , are you speaking of the muffler at the tail end of the car or one of the two mufflers under the car ?The one at the rear is actually a resonator.
