Hey,

I'm a 240 guy myself, but my friend is looking to get a G35 but was concerned that he wouldn't be able to get rid of the wind visor on the sun roof, is it possible to remove it?

Here's a picture of the car:

Thanks

I don't think that is standard as I've seen plenty of Gs with sunroofs and no shield.

Shield = FAIL!

J-yaaaah!

Blow torch and a crow bar should do the trick. Hell, you're the S-chassis guy. You guys know how to do that stuff hehehe.

I'm thinking 3M adhesive is probably holding it on. If it's screwed on, then the owner should be shot and ran over by a rusted domestic

They have two J hooks that hold them on to the car and the glass slides over them. My mothers 4Runner had one and I hated it because it covered like half of the sun roof so I took it off and that is how it came off.

Most of these are easily installed and easily removed. I actually wish I had a nice looking one to cut down on the pressure fluctuations that are caused with the sun roof all the way open. The same with the side windows especially the backs on my sedan.

Guys...keep a watch on Perry... he's going to the Honda side...

I know they have a purpose, I just think they're unsightly

I think most are unsightly. And it differs a lot with color. Black on black isn't as bad as black on something else and these things are almost always black. I am not really sure they need to be nearly as high either. I have seen a few that are much more shallow. But there is a design issue in the moonroof that I believe needs to be addressed as far as buffeting, the same with the rear side windows (only far worst) and to a much more limited extent the front. These issues have actually been knocked on in reviews, mostly in comparison with BMWs without these issues.

I can understand the moonroof addition if it enhances the driving pleasure of the occupant. At least it is a functional add on. Otherwise why not just have a glass panel on top if all you want is a little extra light.

Personally I am going for a windshield visor like a Fraiser Manhattan and place my new set of gauges under it.
