ok I read the FAQ im not a newb and I have searched but they leave a couple questions unanswered and a few worries and complaints still lingering in my head. so here it goes

I got a CLEAN brand new 90 HBI plan on swapping a red-top SR, so since I have a zenki (89-90) people say I will need, DOHC PS/lines & A/C Lines, the DOHC Cluster.. now with that spoken. will I need the compressor and the entire AC system out of the DOHC? also Chunki-Dori told me that my driveshaft is shorter in the car. does this mean there will be a gap between the transmission and the drivetrain or does that mean the engine will sit closer to the fire-wall? with this shorter drive-train will I experience loss in power? or noise? or feel it while shifting? this is the problems I am facing and how hard it is and how much of a trouble WILL IT BE? for me to swap the sr into my SOHC car w/ all of these conditions? also please help with the drivetrain issue that is a big one for me. thank you very much

Chunki-Dori is wrong, i have a 90 HB as well with an red-top, no probs at all with the drive shaft, everything went in beautiful. but you will need the lines and stuff like you were talking about.

I second that. I have an 89' and the stock driveshaft would've worked fine but it got bent somehow. I'm using the JDM driveshaft, really nice has 2 universal joints, came with the clip. You shouldn't have any problems with the drivetrain by using the stock driveshaft. It will line up good, no loss in power and no vibration(unless it was bent like mine but you'll know as soon as you drive, it's horrible). Your motor wouldn't sit any coser to the fire wall, motor mounts make sure the motor stays in the same place everytime. It'll be ok.

As for the AC, yes you need all of the lines from the ac system from a DOHC as well as the compressor. For the power steering you should just need the high pressure hose. The return is just a regular hose easily found at your local auto parts store. If you dont buy a front clip(highly recomend the clip) you will need a DOHC cluster, well actually just the tach. Everything else in your cluster will work just fine. Any other questions about the swap hit up http://www.nissanperformancemag.com they usually do pretty good write-ups.You'll be fine swapping the motor as long as you have good mechanical skills. Just get a lot of info from several places and compare. Good luck
