How hard is it to find parts for the CA, as opposed to the KA, or SR. General maintinance stuff and what not. Can you find most of your parts at the local parts store, or do you have to scoure the internet, or give your arm to Nissan for stuff?Im just thinkin about buyin a CA, but i want to be able to atleast go to the local parts store to keep my budget in check.thanx

replacement parts you can get from a 1988 pulsar nx se with the 1.8l (99%) and some from the 1986 200sx. and you can get them from like auto zone.

so when you walk into autozone , do you actually tell them you need a water pump from a pulsar, or do you just tell them that its for a 240 with CA motor?

A 1988 nissan pulsar with 1.8litre DOHC motor. Don't ever buy a headgasket set for the pulsar or you'll end-up with more worthless gaskets than you can think of. From the 88 pulsar, you can use the headgasket, intake gasket set, exhaust manifold to head gaskets, rods and main bearings, oil pump, water pump (you gotta use the fwd pulley for this one or use the water pump from the 1986 nissan 200sx to use the DET's pulley), timing belt, all seals, etc.........Hope this help and good luck. Oh yeah, please refer to the stickies in the future for tid bits such these.
