quick question but not bout a 240.

a buddy of mine is thinking bout getting an evo. long story but he actually does have the money to afford it (damn that *****). i was just wondering, since the evo uses the same engine as the second gen eclipse just at a different state of tune, would he be able to use some of the parts made for the eclipse on his car?

I'm sure some things like cam gears, most gaskets, alternator, accesories, etc. will work between the two...turbo's too. but dont count on things like downpipes and intercoolers fitting. And there WERE some important changes between the engines, but I cant tell you exactly what...some of it was to stop the crankwalk problem. Oh...and the engine was in the 1st gen. eclipse too.

with 271 hp I don't know why you'd need to upgrade it, lol. That's a damn fast/nice car stock!
