I don't think you could pull that kind of a stretch on 17x9's.I have 225/45/17's on my 17x7 962's, and 255/45 on the 17x9's (rear)Granted, this makes for an extremely tall sidewall and raises my back end at least an 1 inch. I think it makes it look good, but then again, I need to slam it at some point too.

Read this thread, I have a similar set-up and Simmode has some really outstanding advice.

It would be the most massive stretch ever if you could pull it off

I would poke around Craigslist, used tires aren't always impossible to find. I paid $450 for my 962's and they came with the tires I mentioned.

And given that you live in California, you probably don't have to worry about how they do in rain either, so something sort of bald might not be such a bad thing. I can't get traction for sh*t with my Hankooks in the rain, unless its less than 15-20 mph I slide out.

If you car isn't lowered yet, you have a fair amount of options as far as tires. If it is, you probably are going to have to stretch. Also, check the stuff on the 17x9 in front, as it will require a spacer, I think at least 15mm

Mounting is gonna be at least $100, at least that was what it cost me locally. I assumed you knew what you were doing on the spacer question, but as we all know there are some total 'tards on this site, so I tend to clarify too much information just in case.

well i bought them yesterday, today i took it to a shop to see if it fits and they said that its too small i need at lease 215 45 17 then they can be able to stretch it out to fit it and its going to cost 25 to mount and balance each wheels. and yes i know that spacers i need for the front to clear the coilover.. but thanks anyways.
