ok, Ive got a 95 S14(obd1) and the check engine light comes onaccording to the ECU, its a code 85, for the crank position sensor...

what does it do exactly??? I read somewhere that it just has to do with detecting cylinder misfire(???) will it hurt driving the car like this? the car seems to run fine despite the engine light, a little rich maybe but theres nothing Ive noticed, but then again i just got the car two days ago...

any thoughts on getting it out? its tighter than a crabs butt-hole back there lolfound new on rock auto for $40

and yes, Ive searched a little, but haven't really heard of any other real symptoms...
