ok so i have all my nessicary wires hooked up on the plug under my dash near the ecu except for the clock power.

the problem is the ka has the power for the clock on the cluster run from the plug near the ecu (same plug as tach, tempature gauge etc) and the rb doesnt. so my question is what should i hook the wire for the clock up to to make it work?

also if im gonna hardwire it do i hardwire it to the battery for constant power or to a wire only powered when the cars key is turned to acc.?

any help is aprecciated, im sitting in my garage tryinfg to finish the wireing right now so i need some quick help, thanks

Are you talking about the wires for the consult port?

Connector F1 is the FSM? That ends up at the consult connector that comes out the fuse box.If you don't plan on using consult, don't worry about it. I wired mine, I can look tomorrow sometime if you still want to splice it.

There used to be a doc on rb25det.org that was helpful to me, but I see that website doesn't exist anymore. If I get time, I'll write up a new doc detailing that plug for rb20det.

I found the document I was talking about. I had it saved on my laptop.

I put it up here: http://www.vkoslak.net/~rjames...s.pdf

It's for putting a rb20det into an s14, however, it does have pretty good descriptions of the plugs and the pinouts with the color of the wires. You should be able to use the other wiring docs available and the foldout from the FSM to figgure out what goes where.

If you're still having trouble, let me know and I'll go look for my notes I made when I wired it up.

Your heater doesn't work? That should work as long as the heater hoses are connected properly.

I don't recall doing anything special for the heater hoses.

Bleed your lines properly, that is what I didnt do on mine :-)

On one of the hoses there is a little metal piece sticking out with a cap, open the radiator cap and that hose with the car started, and be prepared to put it back on - like only crack it off a little to let air out!
