I am looking to acquire an s13 fastback and do an rb25 swap within the next year and a half. I was looking at mckinney's mount kit, and I was wondering what crossmember needs to be used with these mounts, RB or KA? Also, if the RB crossmember needs to be used, does it usually come with motor sets (NOT front clip)? Finally, what would be the total cost I'm looking at for an RB swap, done myself, not including the car?

with the mckinneys mounts you use the ka xmember. The rb xmember ussally comes with clips and sometimes motorsets. Make sure you ask if it does and don't just assume so. For total cost it can range quite bit It would be a good idea to figure how much you want to spend, Then figure out what you can do with it and your goals for your car. And there will be lots of stupid little stuff you have to buy when you swap it

intrexin, thanks for the straightforward answer.

And 420_240, don't be such a prick. I searched and couldnt find what I was looking for. Last time I checked, forums were to help other people and spread information, not flaunt the size of your e-wang.

Does anyone else have any helpful input on the cost of this operation?

I think the whole yelling to search thing is getting kind of old and becoming the "cool thing to do" and its kind of getting on my nerves. They forums are here to answer questions and if you dont want to do that then dont press the reply button, it took more effort for you to yell at the guy than to answer his question.

Seriously guys calm down, this is a community and we are supposed to help each other out.

5K and up depending on what you do. I have spent about 12K on my car so far.
