quick question about license plate bulbs

I know I just saw it on here, but can't find it now... I am changing my license plate bulbs to leds and I have the inside cover almost off, but what do you do about the 2big rubber stops? Do you remove those as well (if so, how do you) or leave them on? Thanks.

NVM, I got it. For anybody who needs it, you can pull hard to release them or do what I did and take a flathead screwdriver and release a little pressure from the bulges in the back.

What kind of LEDs are you putting in? I always thought it was illegal to change or take out the bulb. I would love to either take it out or put in a subtle blue if its legal.

go to superbrightleds.com choose car bulbs, go to car bulbs, then check out the wedge type bulbs, you will need a 194 bulb to fit in that socket. I used the 6 led ones in white for my license plate.

You can check the bulb applications sticky for further bulb types.

as long as it's white it should be fine. That is the one bulb i didn't change, coz i have no need to make my tag even brighter

What color coupe do you have? I have the white and it cleaned it up perfectly.

i've got a silver coupe, however I didn't replace the license plate bulbs. I did replaced the maplight, dome, side marker, trunk though
