This has been answered before, but no. If you want an intercooler, go turbo. If not get yourself a good intake and call it a day. If for some reason you want the intercooler look with out the power then you can get one of these... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories .

An intercooler is pointless for a naturally aspirated car, the point of an intercooler is to cool hot charged air before it enters your intake. Turbo's create a lot of heat from both the compressing of air and the heat that is drawn from the turbo itself since it is the exhaust gases that turn the impeller assembly in the turbo.

You dont need an intercooler if your car is not turbo.

Neither are worth the amount they cost.Buy a K&N filter. There is almost no gain putting a intake on a stock ka, just noise.

I might put one on my car a couple weeks before I do a whole turbo set up to make the process go faster, but that is a different story.

LOL with my previous car I did drive around for about 2 months with the intercooler mounted. Almost everybody that noticed it thought it was turbo and I just never poped the hood until I got the turbo installed. When I noticed those who did see it I would just low shift making it seem like I was hiding the bov. But ya as stated above get a K&N setup. Even if you get one with the piping its still like $150 cheaper than and AEM or other high end intake company.

well ive been seeing an influx of these post lately. Let's say this Twinkie represents the normal amount of retarded posts in the Nico Forums. According to this morning's sample, it would be a Twinkie thirty-five feet long, weighing approximately six hundred pounds.

This is what you do....

Install all the incooler parts and piping, hang your intercooler and instead of connecting the hot pipe to anything because you dont have a turbo, put cone filter on the hot side. That way you can pull hot air from your engine bay and cool it through the intercooler and then it'll feed to the intake.

I'm really kidding, but that would be funny to see, instead of the turbo being there, its a filter pulling hot air off the headers, and cooling through the intercooler.

that's funny. anybody ever had a buddy that used one of those snorkel kits on their 4 wheel drive? wonder if those would be as effective as a cold air kit? just a thought

please if you buy one of those aem, injen intakes i feel bad for you. hey lets spend 200 bucks on something that make your car sound cool and adds maybe 1hp. all you need is a stock intake with a generic cone filter. 15 bucks at the most. if you want your ka to be more pepy then get an under drive pulley, aluminum drive shaft and lighten flywheel with a nice clutch. really the only worth while ka upgrades besides a turbo and not spending thousands on building an na ka.
