Just to make sure, does this correctly show where the ends of the lines go?

Also does anyone have any additional tips for the installation?

thanks!

Stephen

This may be a dumb question, but what do you do about the water line that goes from the inner side of the turbo, to behind the egnine? I just pulled my set up yesterday, and I don't see where that ss line would screw in.

Not sure where the OP got his SS lines from but usually the coolant return line that goes behind the engine uses a hose clamp to connect to the metal line behind the engine. Look for pics of taka or circuit sport lines.

No you are wrong. On the s13 turbo lines one of the coolant lines has a clamp style end that goes behind the engine.

On the s14 lines there is a place to hook up the line on the coolant neck. That one screws in. And in the picture you do have them backwards. The 90 degree fittings go to the turbo and then the banjo and the straight fittings go to the engine.

You never told us what engine this is going on so I am assuming it is s14 engine looking at the turbo lines.

Ok, that might explain my confusion. I have s13, so I guess those lines are different than the ones in the pic.

Not trying to flame or anything, but was this thread really necessary? I mean even if you had it backwards, when trying to install them you would have figured out which way they went. At least I hope you would've.

Hey Otterman thanks for the help.. really i just want to get this done right the first time and i have no idea what im doing. its too bad these didnt come with any sort of instructions for the mechanically challenged..heh uh i got another stupid question... if you got a sec>_<

So i started putting these on and this one doesnt seem to fit well. is this correct or should the end of the 90 degree bend be rotated around the other way? if so then its hitting the cross arm thing.

Ignorantly to me it seems like the straight end is more appropriate for this location. Can that work??

thanks for helping me figure this out!

it would work better if you put the 90 on the turbo and turn it so it points down instead of up. Then route the line under the turbo and to wherever it goes.

Thanks for the reply.

when i rotate the 90 bend down it then hits and lifts the cross arm so it cant connect with the tab thing.. Is there a reason you cant put the straight end on the turbo? This is for an s14 motor and t28 turbo.

thanks

Stephen

Damn, it took me like 5 minutes to scroll all over the pic until I could see it was Vader. I think I'll print it out so I can have a life sized vader poster on the ceiling in my room....

Its not very hard, all I recommend is to make sure you tighten up the fittings very well before putting the turbo and everything back, also don't forget the teflon. The 90 degree elbow there is probably the most confusing part, so just use the washers and use teflon, than tighten everything, but not over tighten or else you'll strip it, than you should be fine. You really can't mix them up since the fittings are different sizes on the block so like you can't cross the coolant with the fuel and stuff. Just take a pic of your OEM lines to make sure where each one goes to

my turbo coolant ine wasnt really long enough. so i have it going straight down. the acuatar rubs on it a little. but that was the only way i could get it to work.
