Whats up, I have a 2000 Infiniti I30T, and when I was replacing one of my headlight bulbs, i saw a little light bulb, and i didnt know what it was. I kept turning on different lights on the car, and it wouldnt turn on. So I went into the manuel, and it said it was a "Clearance Bulb" Does anyone know what this is? And again, it in a I30's headlight, in the corner area.

I'm not sure what exactly it's purpose is but I would describe it more as a "City light" or "Daytime Running Light", the only time i've seen it come on with my i30 is when I have the parking lights only switched on.

Maybe i need 2 put in 2 new bulbs, cause i tried turning it on with regular headlights and the parking lights. Do you know where the wires from the bulb is connected to? Also, do you the audio problem, where the sub goes out, and comes back whenever it feels like?

not sure if you're talking about the stock sub because i'm not sure what thread the audio question was posted in, but if you're talking about aftermarkets, be sure that your amps are getting adequate cooling because they will cut out in fairly low temperatures, or at least what may seem like low temps for that kind of equipment if you live in a warm area... i'm in la, so here we are in october with 80 degree weather which is cool for us, but in the summer it can get seriously hot and my amp will cut out if i don't let down the rear seat so it can cool better.

if you're speaking about the stock amp, you may want to check the same thing, even though there isn't really a way to check the amplifier for the stock sub as it's built into the vehicles head unit, but you can pop your trunk and play your stereo and check the subs basket and see how it feels as well as disconnecting the harness for the sub and making sure that all of the wires are seated within the harness tightly.

hope one of those helps you out if not feel free to message me and maybe i can brainstorm some things with you. Good luck!

Hi there,

The clearance bulb turns on when you use your turn signal while your lights are on. It shines a little light to whichever side you are wishing to turn toward. It only engages if you press the turn signal far enough to "lock" in place.

The "city lights" should come on with the headlights and the parking lights you may need new bulbs. Your problem with the sub is quite common and requires soldering inside the amp. You can do a Google search there's info about the fix.
