Okay i never thought the day would come when i would own a coupe, or a pignose, but some old man hit my chuki hatch shes now in the garage awaiting her sr. In the meantime i needed a ride to work, and an 89 coupe dropped into my life. (for $1100)

So after i drove it home i noticed that it smelled of gasoline when i got out of the car. Like toucan sam, i followed my nose around the car to where it smelled strongest. Jumped underneath the rear passenger tire/gas tank area to find those rubber fuel lines running underneath my car are old/worn/cracking to the point of fuel seeping through the whole line. I can clearly see that to remove the one side i just take the hose clamp off (after relieving fuel pressure), but the other side runs up above the gas tank, and i need to replace the whole line not just the part i can see. I was wondering where i can find the other end? Is it attached to one of the outlets on the fuel pump? Im thinking it probably is, but if so, then how do i get that end of the hose off. Im sure its just another hose clamp but how will i feed the old hose out and new hose in? Is there a hole on the side of the gas tank somewhere this hose goes through? PLEASE tell me i dont have to remove the gas tank. Heres some pics so you guys know which lines i mean.

I took this one from far away, just to give reference of where these lines where, thats my exhaust and gas tank and wheel there, i took the picture from underneath rear passenger tire.

And this is a little close...hard to fit a camera under there.I was gunna squeeze it to pic the cracks but i squeezed and gas started soaking through

Just make sure that when you buy your fuel line you get FUEL INJECTOR rated line and not fuel hose. The line should be rated to handle at least 50 PSI. If you just ask for fuel line you might get stuff only rated 20 PSI or so.

Thanks for the help guys it was easier than i imagined it would be, it took like 25 minutes to do both the hoses. Snapped a couple pics, i though i actually had to take the fuel pump out. Old:New:Much better, was wondering why it was using so much gas...
