will it work? the street/drag stage 1? I searched and i've read about taking out a alignment pin on the flywheel but that was for other brand clutches. So i'm wondering are any of you running a act ka clutch on your ca?

Are there any pictures online where it shows how to remove that alignment pin out? Is it a simple process to take the pin out or is it something that needs to be on the press to get it out.

you can also use the ka transmission, you just have to swap bellhousings with the ca transmission

I was running a ka24 clutch on my ca... Just drill a hole in the pressure plate for the pin to go through, rather than remove it. You will see exactly what everyone is talking about when you try to put the clutch pressure plate on. You will also need to get a dremel or something to enlarge the edge of the bolt holes because they don't quite line up. But other than that it works out fine.

You can remove any of metal dowels, doesn't matter which. They come out effortlessly, just grab on with pliers and pull. I pulled the one near the red arrow.

The only thing that will give you a problem is using the alignment tool that comes with the KA clutch, it is slightly smaller making the mounting of the transmission a little tougher because it does not exactly center the clutch disc, if you get lucky and you transmission goes all the way in on the first shot your good, if not, move clutch disc around slightly till it is centered to get the transmission on.

One good suggestion before installing the engine and transmission into the engine bay, is to loosen up the transmission fluid fill port and drain port, because your going to have to add it after the swap is done. Be sure to use GL-4 transmission oil.
