When I pulled out my airbox to run my temperature sensor I noticed a hose that was attached with a clip. Once I removed it I noticed that the end of the hose was not attached. Did I disconnect the end when I was pulling it out or is it supposed to go nowhere?

Nope... you're okay. As you suspected the loose end of the hose "goes nowhere" ... so to speak.

At first I had trouble placing the hose in your photo because its laying down... (and because your photo was rotated from my point of reference.) For others who may refer to this post I rotated your photo and pasted it next to a reference photo.

As you noticed there is a small clip attached to the hose. This clip mounts in a small hole on the left side of the air box as you face the firewall. (however.... you can just use a wire tie and attach the hose to anything... just place it on the left side of the air box and keep the hose vertical... (like a snorkel)

Here are some photos (as they say... a picture is worth a thousand words)

That definitely makes me feel better. I presumed it did not go anywhere after I put it back on, but it is nice to be sure. I am not mechanic, but I can usually figure things out with a picture and a description. Thank you very much for all your help as I now have my mirror completely installed. All I have to do is program my homelink for my garage door openers and I am good to go. I will post some pics on the other thread when I get all my tools picked up.

Yup, it's just an air breather tube for the CVT transmission. Normally it's clipped to the air filter box. As Elton suggested, just tie it up so it's out of the way and the hose is not kinked or pinched.
