How much power do you want? A few hundred bucks, a thousand bucks or two thousand, you're generally talking small NA mods-- combined is ten, twenty, maybe twenty-five wheel horsepower, maybe a little more.

Spend a couple thousand bucks to go forced induction and you can get 250whp and up...

But for small, cheap mods. Grab an intake and a y-pipe, doesn't matter which. You'll pick up 10-15whp and equivalent torque, and that's the bulk of the cheap power available.

A good normally aspirated rule of thumb is $50-$100 per real rear wheel high rpm HP torque is significantly more expensive at low rpms.

say I bought the Y-Pipe from Cattman.. would the local exhaust shop that I hear nothing but great things about be able to make the rest of the system for me or would I need to get a new cat, muffler as well?

Nitrous Oxide. Period. Cheap, not to difficult to install, and yeilds massive hp (30-200 depending on kit). Only costs like 10bucks to refil, and depends on how often you use it. But saftey is an issue...Last time i checked this was a VQ35DE section... wtf are all these older engine guys doin here?

Looks like someone reorganized the forum headers and forgot to put the VQ30 in there....

I'll fix it....
