Quick power steering question

Will running without power steering eventually ruin my steering rack i have a 90 with a rb20det , the power steering pump is hicas and i dont have the resivoir lines from the 91 and up or from the rb , eventually i plan to run ps , but i just want to know if this can harm the rack in any way
