Hi Guys! Here is my new Sungard Sapphire Blue tint and Wheelskin steering wheel wrap. I was looking for a light tint and it was between this and Ceramic Air 80. I got it done at Autolinks in Toronto. I ended up getting the Euro perforated Wheelskin wrap and stitched it towards the back of the steering wheel so that it doesn't show as much. It took about 2 hours with no rush.

Did you do it yourself or make it done?

Could you take some pics from the stitched side?
What size did you order?

Thanks.

I ordered the 14 1/2 x 3 7/8 Black perforated leather. I have done this before on a car about 10 years ago. Here are some tips that I found useful. Put the seams for the leather stitching at 10 and 2 o'clock, as opposed to 9 and 3 because it might be harder to put the seems over the contour bumps on our wheel. Wet the leather slightly at 9 and 3 and pull it to make it wider. I think the key to this install is to stitch it from behind. It will look cleaner and more stock like. Also, I used 2 awls or pointy screwdivers to pull tighter tension after it was sewed on.

Dolb,

I also live in the GTA and was looking at various places to get my windows tinted. How is the quality/price/service that is offered by autolinks?

He's basically a two man show on Birchmount and Eglington and does some decent work with good value. He is doing Llumar ceramic for $260. There are some pictures and links on the Toronto Mazda 3 board. He is booking about a week or two in advance.

Thanks for the info. I'll check it out and see what he can do for tint options
