Hey guys...kinda in a rush, but I took some pics of my Tein/KYB GR-2 drop with my crappy digicam (good one's batteries are dead).

Anyways, I think it looks awesome...don't have much drive time with it yet, but will let you know how it comes along!

Thanks, enjoy, look here for pics:

Thanks man!

I haven't determined whether I'll be able to make the meet yet. I want to get set up at school before I decide.

As for seeing the drop if I do come....you can't. <Sigh> I put it back to stock. The car just bounced around too damn much. And for all the highway driving I do...it was nowhere near tolerable.

I had the same problem with the '95 Maxima. I was told that the springs were too stiff for the struts. You might try some adjustable struts, and cranking them to a stiffer setting.

Love the lowered look.

Wish you could keep the look.

Thanks Jeff, I did love the way it looked, but alas, twas not meant to be.

I really did want adjustable struts, but currently, no one makes adjustable struts for the 5th gen Maxima. Cattman modifies some 4th gen struts to fit, but I don't like the idea of modified-modified suspension too much.

I hear the Tokico Illuminas for the 5th gen might be out soon, so maybe one day I'll pair those with some H&R springs.

yeah it did look really nice, sorry to hear it didn't work out. BTW, how was the handling aside from the bad ride?

The handling was good ONLY if the road was perfectly level and smooth as glass. As it turned out, when it would hit bumps through a turn or something, the bounciness would make the whole car feel unpredictable in the direction it was going...I found that harder to work with than the stock suspension.
