quick oil sending unit question

I'm trying to throw an oil pressure gauge in, but haven't figured out how to remove the sending unit from the block.

It's bigger than 24mm, was thinking about trying to buy a 26-28 and try; but it would be a waste if not needed (like $10 a socket). Tried to get in there at diff angles w/ adjustable but not able to get at a good enough use able angle

So, what's the easiest way to get that bastard out of there?

I used a good pair of pliers, just get it on there and give it a good twist. when you install the pressure sensor for the gauge make sue not to use any thead tape or rtv because it wont ground if you do. what brand gauge are you using. I got a eqquis 1.5in oil pressure gauge and I like it a lot.

the gauge is a cheapy I picked up at the autoparts store to use; not installing perm

If you still need to know......goto autozone or kragen or something and pick up a DEEP SOCKET 27MM. Don't mess it up by using vise grips.

I used a 27mm 12point deep socket be sure its also 3/8 drive so you can use you 3/8 drive ratchet apparently our stock sending unit requires the 12pt. If you cannot find 3/8 drive 27mm deep socket 12pt you can use 1/2 drive with adapter to a 3/8 drive. Remove your oil filter then oil sending unit. Good luck....

I'm looking for the oil pressure sending unit. I cannot locate it on the block can someone describe where its located?

it is on the oil filter housing. it will have 1 wire running in to it.
