ok, ive got a 90 ka24e and it only has about 60k on the new engine which internally(valve cover) looks awesome, everythings shiny with no yellowing or anything... anyways, i ve used mobil 1 fully synthetic 10w30 for the last 3-4 oil changes and i seem to lose about a quart to a quart and a half every 3k miles. there is absolutely no oil on either of the engine/pan or ever on the ground and it doesnt smoke a bit. should i switch to like valvoline 10-40 or mobil 0-40 or maybe mobil 15-50 to thicken it up and see if that helps? and also will something like a 15-50 hurt me when i go turbo this summer since the turbos dont really like high oil pressure.thanxluigi

well my car "supposedly" had a newer engine put in it so it should only have like 60k if the guy was tellin the truth. another thing i thought i read from palmerwmd is that all the newer synthetic are totally opposite and they actually help seal...not sure though. also, it did this before i switched to synthetic....luigi
