question 1) what makes oil get dirty faster than it should? (ie a week later its dirty)

question 2) how long does it take to do a timing chain install (upper and lower) with proper tools. on a 92 ka24de

search for the timing chain thing you'll find a write up I'm sure

theres no sludge, and the oil stays clean for a few days, then starts to get dirty pretty quick after the first week.

It's normal for the oil to get dirty. Don't worry about it unless it has a milky appearance or it's spotted with gasoline.

A timing chain job is very labor intensive. Even with an experienced person, it'll still take a good part of a day.

It's better to have the oil get dirty than have that crap and fail all over the insides.
