Installed obx header perfectly was easy as pie...but i i just cut off the metal tubing into hole #2 and also removed tube into hole #3. Bought some silicone tubing to connect the furthest one back(#2) that goes to the egr. Can i completely plub off #3 and if at all possible wouldnt mind plugging up #2 as well. Am i going to run into problems or can i just weld em shut and call it a day...im a mean tig welder...

on the header, you can block off both aiv & egr... just make sure you block it off the other way too (intake mani side for egr, and intake tubing for aiv).

Performance wise, nothing will be different. Smog wise, you will be illegal if they do visual smog check where you are.

Plugging the EGR has no detrimental effects on passing emissions? I doubt my state has visual smog checks since my AIV has been disconnected from the intake for several inspections now with no issue...

If you plug the egr, you can raise NOx levels during cruising speeds. By how much, though, who knows? .

The easiest by far method, of course, is to just use the nickel trick (1 or 2 nickels) on the header, and connect the egr pipe and/or aiv pipe, and you'll be set! Then if you do fail emissions, u just pop some nickels, and you are back to stock essentially.

Bah, seems like too much trouble. I have a DC sports header anyway, so fitment should go smoothly as well.
