quick o2 sensor question

i KNOW i saw a thread recently that covered this... but i can't find it, and it's pissing me off.

a factory o2 sensor in an SR will only start working after everything is warmed up, right?and at idle, the motor normally runs richer, and at higher rpm, more lean..?

or if anybody knows the thread i'm talking about, send me a link, please.

it's close. i thank you kindly for your timeand i appreciate you going out of your way to search for me. mechanically, i've done what i wanted to do to start. next, i want to work on the electronics and tuning. so, i'd be replacing the existing oem sensor for a wideband, and..*sighthere's a long list that follows (of what i WANT to do)... but i'm moving in less than 40 days, and i just found this out yesterday. so i have to sell my car (probably to some loser who likes to rape cars).
