quick noob question

Im trying to put on my wheels and i dont know how to get the center cap off. someone told me just to hit it from behind, and i did with a rubber mallet and a screwdrivers hammer but it wasnt going anywhere so i stopped. it looks like there are screws all the way around it that use an alan wrench but i dont know. any ideas? they are RS limited limix
