Just got my system finished for Mama's Pathy...

Added a Bazooka (8") to the setup, and the way I had to wire it, it needs some filters.

What specs should I get - Can you tell me what i should buy?

BTW - Those Polk dB650's are sweet - I put 4 of those in the doors, with the Jensen 600W mosfet amp, and lots of Monster Cable...

Now I gotta find a way to keep that amp cool - I mounted it in the little tray under the rear cargo area, and there's not much ventilation. I'm thinking of flush-mounting a 12v fan in the lid of the bay.

Any better ideas?

Does your jensen amp have crossovers onboard? If not, you will have to buy an external crossover. If does not have them, then let me know and I'll give you a couple recommendations.

The crossover points should be as follows:

6.5s - 90hz high passsub - 90hz low pass

The fan, well... if you can find one that isnt that noisy, or you can bear the noise, then it is a good way to keep your amp cool.

Which way did you have to hook your sub up?

No onboard crossovers. Well, actually it has low pass switches, but that cuts all highs to the channel (and I need all four channels for the Polks).

I wound up running the sub off the + of Ch 1 and the - of Ch 2. Just need some way to block the high freq's from getting to it...

Bought a set of inline filters at Audio Express, but when I got them home I realized they were bass blockers. Hate returning stuff.

I'm open for suggestions, don't want to spend much more. Mama's pretty happy, since it's loud, but I'd prefer a little bit cleaner sound.

I would get an active crossover. I used to own an active crossover from kicker, the impulse X3i, it was noisy. I took a gamble on the MTX and it was great. I still have it and I put it in my father's car on my PPI Art Series A404.2. This one I found on ebay for ya. You should be able to get it for cheap. It is perfect for your application. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...38641

good luck
