Like the title says. Megan Racing boost gauge good or bad?I found one for a good price and I was wondering if there is a reason why it is so low.

I have read the the daytime visibility is decreased due to the usage of LED's, can anyone substaciate this?

Thanks.

yes the daytime visibility of the megan guages is crappy. they have a dark tint on the lens similar to defi BF gauges, but the lighting is far weaker than defi so it dosent show up as bright. they look good at night time. i cant comment on the actual quality of the gauges since i only used a couple of them for a week, then sold.

where were they mounted? Also, were they impossible to see, or just very difficult. This will be pseudo temporary.

I have used Megan gauges without any daytime visibility issues I can recall...

well, I am going to get it, if there are any issues I didn't pay that much for it.I also though about getting one of those needles from importintelligence.com an using that one istead of the one on the gauge.

For the people that are using these gauges, what is difficult to see. also where are you mounting them? Thanks.

I have a MR Oil Pressure gauge and have it mounted where the center vents are (S13). During the day it is very hard to see, almost impossible when it is sunny out. I also have a sun roof and this doesn't help. I made the gauge pod out of fibreglass so I may take it out and encorporate some kind of lid or visor on it to block the sun. I made a temp one out of cardboard to see if it would work and it helped.
