I have the day off tom. and i wanted to do a little something on my car. I figure i have about $20 why not take a trip to radio shack pick out a switch and tackle a little theft prevention. I know a kill switch isn't going to stop them for flatbedding my car but anything is better than nothing. I was thinking of wiring a switch into the wires of the clutch button is. The little button under the clutch pedal that doesn't start the car unless you depress the clutch ,which pushes the button. Also i've read soemthing about putting a switch on the fuel pump. WHat do i need from the shack and what is the best wire to "kill" and where is it located?thanx for any help

Where is the wire for the fuel pump. Should i wire it to the fuse box under the hood? Or is there some where under the dash that the fuel pump wire can be found. does anyone have a basic wiring diagram to wire a relay? If not i could just add a switch to the power line right?

bust out the ole' FSM and find the fuel pump RELAY,not the actual power wire.you'll also find that the relay is actually in a convenient location so you should conider relocating it. you want your switch on the ground side of the relay for convenience. disconnect the ground side of relay coil.run a new wire to your witch then from the other side of switch just ground a wire to chassis.this does nothing though if someone knows where your relay is...they can just jump the relay socket.

you can hide the switch under the ashtray, just pull it out and wire a switch under there
