Ok ive read a few swap info forums and i cant seem to get a decent answer.. I have a 1989 240sx "stock" and would like to swap to the ka24deSomeone is selling me a 1996 ka24de full swap including transmission, harness, ecu etc.... Could i assume that doing this swap is going to be simple Or are there many more parts that i am going to need... Like will it all just bolt right up then i can go ??serious answers plz guys ... thx

i take you didnt even bother using the SEARCH button did you?

It should bolt up fine if i recall correctly. However there are several things you need to get such as the dohc cluster and power steering lines.

Search and im sure you will find much info.

yea im aware i need the tech, from the DOHC model, and the temp sending unit from the sohc. or just the cluster from the DOHC .,. Also I am awear that i need the power steering lines if i am going to use the DOHC power steering pump

but as far as that goes,, there is no write up on installing the entire 96 set up into my car.. just peoples own personal set ups ..

i just finished this exact swap

the dash harness is different the plug near the ecu plug is different. either change the dash harness, which sends the info to the gauge cluster, or trace a diagram and match the purposes of each wire. power steering lines are diff either change the reservoir location or get some lines made up, thats what i did. your a/c compressor will not work you need a 91-98 compressor and maybe lines. i didnt keep it OBD11 i didnt have the harness. any questions ask. good luck if your doin it

how exactly did you go about swapping from obd1 to obd11 ??

did you need a different intake manifold ??

Also are there any bad things that you know of that i will run into.. If i were to just go through with installing it OBD11 seince i have the full swap

i didnt change the manifold. just capped off the vacuum ports.

it might not be hard just gotta take the dash out, if you have all the relay boxes just take everything out and put the obd2 harness in. there is wires goin into the collum harness(ignition) that will need to be hard wired, i thought about gettin an obd2 harness and **** but i just wanted the swap done quicker. it will be worth it after its done no doubt.
