hey guys, names tom. bought a 92 black vert about two months ago after blowing the sr in my g20. i know you guys love pics on here and i promise i'll get some up once i get her cleaned up again.

my question is...i went baja-ing over a curb in the snow and threw off my alignment. went to get it done and they could only fix the toe.he said something is bent but i looked at it on the lift and couldn't find anything. so anyways what do you guys think the weakest link is that could have bent? knuckle? control arm? the outside of my tire is wearing BAD and again no visible things bent.

thanks for the help and can't wait to spend a lot of time on here!

welcome...

you should have specifically asked what arm was bent... kind of useless w/o pictures.

The knuckle is not usually the piece that gets bent considering it's above all of your other components (and a lot thicker).

Things you could have bent:- lower control arm (this is the usual culprit when you hit things)- tie rod (inner & outer - probably not bent since you'd be more likely to feel shakiness/etc if this one gets messed up, but I'd check for leaks & such)- toe rod (even though he was able to adjust toe, doesn't mean it's not tweaked a lil)

You could have also bent the toe rod braces - which may or may not have affected your alignment.

Remember, you arms don't have to bend a lot to make your alignment way off.

On a similar note (not really ) my car pulls to the left. I've had a front-end allignment but she still pulls. Is a 4-wheel thrust alignment recommended/worth it or should I start looking for worn out suspension parts?

Thanks, sorry to thread-jack...(not really )peace, mystery trout

You will hate that set up. Well at least i did. Only lasted about 3 months and all 4 shocks were blown. You cant use stock ride height shocks and lowering springs, you bottom out the shock and blow it.

I learned'd my lesson and im savin up for some Stances. Do your self a favor and do the same!!

1 is it lowered?2 just a front end?3 its not that hard to jack up the front of the car and wiggle stuff to see what moves.4 is it during braking?

thrust should always be aligned, regardless.
