Quick help, exhaust O2 sensor

Hi,

I replaced my Exhaust 02 sensor and it started smoking a little bit. Is this normal when you replace it? I'm thinking it might be the thread sealer that the plug came with. Any ideas?

is it smoking out the tail pipe or at the O2 sensor location. If its at the location, I would guess you used penetrating fluid to help get it off and now that is burning off.
