Okay, so I have a 97 240... and the right headlight has a chip/hole in it (in front of the highbeam)... so yeah, it fogs up and looks nasty. Any cheaper way to fix it other than getting a whole new assembly? cause they're impossible to find. If I could just get the glass part that'd be nice, but I don't think anyone does that.

If someone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

perhaps you could use a film to seal the beam from moisture

I have a similar problem. I have a 1989 240 with the pop-up headlights, and I was recently involved in a little fender bender. Now my driver side headlight goes up when I turn the lights off and down when I turn them on. I have no idea what to do with it. Does anybody have any tips to fix it?

HAHA that's funny! :)

Sorry, couldn't help it.

Anyway, sounds like a wiring issue. Did you change anything about the headlight or motor?

No. What happened was his bumper was a lot higher than my front end and when I backed off, the headlight went down. I think I may have busted the arm that moves the assembly up and down. I haven't touched any wires or anything like that yet. I just got no idea what it's doin'.
