Okay here's a simple and stupid question that I already searched.

Is there a gasket between the transmission and shifter that I can get at a parts store? Or do I just use those gaskets in a tube?

Yes exactly. Now would I be able to get it at a generic parts store or do I have to resort to a dealer? I'm just to lazy to go outside, it's freaking cold and windy in San Diego.

Thanks

Here's the part number-32516-03U11. I'm not sure if you can get it at a parts store but here's where I got mine. http://www.courtesyparts.com/b....html

You can just use silicone sealant

I wouldn't. There's a spring and check ball located under that plate and you don't want them stuck to the silicon.
